Pettitte, Burke pace Astros
Astros cruise past Cubs
Andy Pettitte shut down Chicago over seven superb innings, allowing only one run on five hits while striking out five. The veteran left-hander got plenty of support from Houston hitters, with both Lance Berkman and Preston Wilson picking up three RBIs and Chris Burke scoring five runs while going 4-for-4 with a walk.

Series at a glance:
Cubs fall to Astros
Starter Sean Marshall did not have his best stuff, allowing five runs on seven hits over four-plus innings. The Cubs' offense, meanwhile, was stifled by Astros starter Andy Pettitte, with a Phil Nevin homer providing the only run against the veteran southpaw.
