Late rally lifts Cubs again
For the second day in a row, Chicago staged a ninth-inning rally against Pittsburgh closer Jose Mesa. This time, Todd Hollandsworth tied the game with an RBI single and Jose Macias drove home the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly, guiding the Cubs to a sweep of the two-game series.

After right-hander Kip Wells limited Chicago to one run on four hits and three walks through eight innings, closer Jose Mesa gave up two runs in the ninth inning as the Pirates fell to the Cubs at PNC Park. It was the second game in a row in which Mesa was unable to hold a lead.
