Cubs-Rockies finale postponed, set for June 27

Tickets for Wednesday's game will be good for admission to the make-up game.
This is the second game wiped out by rain for the Cubs this season after going through the entire 2010 campaign without a single postponement. The April 19 game against the Padres was postponed by rain but made up as a day-night split doubleheader on April 20.
This was the Rockies' only trip to Chicago and both teams have a scheduled day off on June 27. The Rockies will be completing a series in New York from June 24-26, while the Cubs will be returning home from an Interleague series in Kansas City.
On Thursday, the Cubs open a seven-game road trip in Arizona, while the Rockies have a day off before playing host to the Pirates at Coors Field starting Friday.
Casey Coleman (1-1, 7.43 ERA), who was scheduled to start Wednesday, now will start Sunday in the series finale against the D-backs. Ryan Dempster (1-2, 7.63 ERA) will open the four-game series Thursday and be followed on Friday by Carlos Zambrano (2-1, 5.28 ERA) and on Saturday by Matt Garza (0-3, 4.11 ERA).
"We know the conditions will be better and you know what to expect when you go to Arizona," Cubs manager Mike Quade said Wednesday. "It can wear on you when you get 10 days of this kind of weather. It wears on all of us, whether you're playing baseball or anything else. The warm weather [in Phoenix and Los Angeles] won't be frowned upon."
It's hard to remember a spring with so much rain.
"I'm just happy it wasn't snow," Quade said.
