Soriano's knee holding up well early

ATLANTA -- Alfonso Soriano's left leg is passing all the tests.

On Wednesday, Soriano was 2-for-4 and scored a run on an error by Atlanta first baseman Troy Glaus in the Cubs' 3-2 loss to the Braves. Soriano had a checked-swing double in the second and reached on a fielder's choice in the fifth. He took off on a hit-and-run and reached third on Mike Fontenot's single before scoring on the Glaus error. Soriano also singled in the ninth.

"I'm feeling very good," the left fielder said. "I want to test my knee. How I played today is how I want to be all season."

Last year, Soriano was limited to 117 games because of a sore left knee that required arthroscopic surgery in September.
