Piniella mulling options at DH vs. Rays
Soto could fill role at Tampa Bay after Lee got nod in Toronto

During Chicago's recent series in Toronto, Piniella chose to slot regular first baseman Derrek Lee in the DH role on Friday and Sunday, while using third baseman Aramis Ramirez in the role on Saturday.
Piniella will also need to make use of the DH over Chicago's next three games, as the Cubs open a series against the Rays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
With Tampa Bay left-hander Scott Kazmir starting against the Cubs on Tuesday, Piniella said that he was considering using his starting catcher, Geovany Soto, in the DH slot, while putting Henry Blanco behind the plate. He said this would be done to put as many right-handed bats in the lineup against Kazmir as possible.
"Tuesday's going to be a little difficult with a left-handed starter," said Piniella. "We're a little short of right-handed bats, so that's probably what we'll do on [that day]."
As for the remaining two games of the Tampa Bay series, Piniella said that he was not sure who would DH, but that he'd consider Lee, Ramirez, and regular right fielder Kosuke Fukudome in the role.
