Happy Birthday, Kosuke Fukudome

The cake was covered in green frosting, to resemble the grass on the field, and it was supposed to read "Happy Birthday Kosuke Fukudome" in red frosting. However, his name was misspelled as "Fukutome." There also were two baseballs and two bats created out of cake and frosting, although Cubs manager Lou Piniella wasn't quite sure what the bats were.
"They didn't look like bats," Piniella said. "It looked like a turkey leg."
Fukudome posed for photos with the cake and even took a picture of it himself with his cell phone. Then, he shared the sweet with his teammates.
Some fans behind the Cubs dugout at Nationals Park apparently had marked the day on their calendars, too, and held up a sign that said, "Happy Birthday."
