The Chicago Cubs will be extending a special welcome to babies born at three Chicago hospitals in 2005. Newborns at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and Illinois Masonic Hospital will be presented with their first baby beanie cap courtesy of the Chicago Cubs. Each pink and blue striped cap contains the Cubs logo on the front to announce the little one's allegiance to their favorite baseball team. The first baby born at each of the hospitals in 2005 will also receive a gift basket of Cubs baby attire from the team.
St. Joseph's Hospital and Illinois Masonic Medical Center are located in the Lakeview community, which is home to Wrigley Field. The Chicago Cubs team physicians are affiliated with, and general player and staff care is provided by Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The club expects to provide approximately 13,000 caps to their newest fans in 2005.
