ROOT SPORTS™ announced today its 2013 Colorado Rockies telecast schedule. The network will air 150 Rockies regular season games, in addition to six spring training games. Leading up to the first pitch on April 1, ROOT SPORTS will televise 20 hours of Rockies programming to celebrate the team's 20th anniversary. 

ROOT SPORTS' regular season coverage begins on Monday, April 1, when the Rockies travel to Milwaukee to face the Brewers at noon MT. A special one-hour Pregame Show will begin at 11 a.m. MT. The team will open Coors Field on Friday, April 5, with the Pregame Show starting at 1 p.m. MT.

Additionally, the network will debut a new show, Rockies: Real Time, on April 5 following the Rockies home opener. The show goes beyond the sound bite and spends real time with players in their everyday lives. In their own words, the Rockies players give fans a new perspective on the challenges and triumphs in major league baseball through first-hand stories and experiences. Rockies: Real Time will air Friday nights following the Toyota Postgame Show throughout the season.

Rockies Double Play, which provides all the highlights from the previous game in just 30 minutes, and Rockies Weekly, which recaps the best of the week and provides an exclusive interview with the coaching staff, will return again this year. Rockies Weekly premieres on Sunday, March 31 at 9 p.m. MT, with a preview of the upcoming Rockies season. Following the debut, the show will air on Sundays after the postgame.

ROOT SPORTS, winner of the 2012 Emmy® for best live sporting event for its coverage of the Colorado Rockies, will return its entire broadcast team for the 2013 season. Drew Goodman, nine-time Colorado Sportscaster of the Year, enters his 12th year as the play-by-play announcer for the Colorado Rockies. He'll be joined in the booth by a combination of veterans in George Frazier and Jeff Huson. After a successful first season, Joel Klatt and Jenny Cavnar will return to handle pregame and postgame duties, while Cavnar will also serve as a sideline reporter. Tracy Ringolsby returns as an integral part of the Rockies Pregame and Toyota Postgame Shows, while Marc Stout will host and report from the sidelines.
