Cubs-Sox set for Vegas return

Intracity rivals to play pair of exhibition games in March

11/10/09 3:10 PM EST

For the second consecutive year, the Cubs and White Sox will try their luck in Las Vegas.

The clubs announced Tuesday that they will play a pair of split-squad exhibition games in Las Vegas as part of "Big League Weekend" at Cashman Field, home of the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s. The games will be March 12 and 13.

Game times will be determined as broadcast plans are finalized. Ticket information is available at www.lv51.com.

The Cubs will be returning to Cashman Field for the sixth straight season and ninth all-time appearance at Big League Weekend (1993-94, '99, 2005-09). The White Sox will be making their fifth all-time appearance in Las Vegas (1993, '99, 2000, '09).

The White Sox will announce their full Spring Training schedule on Wednesday. The remainder of the 2010 Cubs Spring Training schedule will be announced at a later date.
