Burke, Coleman net Cubs' Minors honors
Outfielder, pitcher named to respective All-Star teams

CHICAGO -- Outfielder Kyler Burke and pitcher Casey Coleman have been named the Cubs' Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Year, the organization announced on Monday.Burke, 21, hit .303 with a .405 on-base percentage and a .505 slugging percentage for Class A Peoria. The lefty played all three outfield positions and first base for the Chiefs and made the Midwest League Postseason All-Star team.
Coleman, 22, went 14-6 with a 3.68 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 149 innings for Double-A Tennessee. The right-hander was named to the Southern League All-Star team for the first half.
Coleman started Tennessee's playoff game against Huntsville on Friday and picked up the win, allowing one run in 7 2/3 innings. He will pitch the third game of the Smokies' upcoming Southern League championship series against Jacksonville on Sunday.
The Cubs will honor both players in an on-field ceremony before the team's game against the D-backs on Oct. 3 at Wrigley Field.
