Soriano hits third homer of spring

Cubs at the plate: Alfonso Soriano led off the game with his third home run of the spring. Angel Pagan went 1-for-3 with a double.
Rockies at the plate: Willy Taveras went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, Matt Holliday went 2-for-2 and Troy Tulowitzki went 2-for-4 with a double.
Cubs on the mound: Cubs No. 2 starter Ted Lilly went gave up four runs and nine hits in four innings. Ryan Dempster gave up one hit and walked one in one inning.
Rockies on the mound: Rockies starter Brian Lawrence, in his third official appearance of the spring, held the Cubs to two runs and seven hits in five innings. Righty Ubaldo Jimenez escaped a bases-loaded, one-out situation in the eighth by forcing a double-play grounder.
Cactus League records: Cubs 10-10-1, Rockies 11-8-1
Up next: Jason Marquis, who will start the Cubs' third game of the regular season, will make his fourth Cactus League start on Wednesday for the Cubs, facing the Texas Rangers. Expect to see Derrek Lee in the lineup -- he's batting .513 this spring and has reached base safely in 11 of 12 games played. The Rockies (right-hander Josh Fogg) will play the Mariners (righty Miguel Batista) at Hi Corbett Field on Wednesday.
