tickets for any Major League Baseball game
CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs have dismissed both head trainer Dave Groeschner and assistant trainer Sandy Krum in the wake of an injury-riddled season in which the team frequented the disabled list.

Groeschner, 33, was in his first season with the Cubs. He had spent eight campaigns in the San Francisco Giants organization before coming to Chicago.

Krum, 39, was in his fourth season as the Cubs' assistant trainer. He had joined the team in 2001 after spending 11 campaigns in the Pittsburgh organization.

The Cubs used the DL 16 times in 2004, and pitchers Mark Prior and Kerry Wood each missed two months.

Other players on the DL this season included Jose Macias, Ryan Dempster, Mike Remlinger (twice), Mark Grudzielanek, Alex Gonzalez, Sammy Sosa, Kent Mercker, Todd Wellemeyer, Tom Goodwin, Joe Borowski, Todd Hollandsworth, Kyle Farnsworth and Ramon Martinez.
