Think you know everything about Greg Maddux? Here's some facts and figures about the right-hander, who became the 22nd Major League pitcher to reach 300 wins:

  • Maddux has started games against 286 different pitchers. The two pitchers who have faced him the most? Andy Benes and Doug Drabek have each started against Maddux 10 times. Curt Schilling and Terry Mulholland each have made nine starts against Maddux.

  • Maddux has beaten 202 pitchers in career. He's beaten Mulholland six times, Darryl Kile and Mike Morgan five times; and David Cone and Pedro Martinez four times. He's been beaten by 134 different pitchers in his 170 losses. Benes and Drabek have each beaten him four times.

  • His most lopsided win was a 16-0 Braves victory over the New York Mets on July 2, 1999. The most runs his team scored for him in a game was 20 on April 18, 1999, in Atlanta's 20-5 victory at Colorado.

  • He has won 15 games by 1-0 scores, and received no-decisions in two games that his team won, 1-0. He's also won 16 games by 2-0 scores. And, his team has been shut out in 30 of his losses.

  • In his wins, his team has averaged 5.7 runs per game, while in his losses, they've averaged two runs per game.

  • His 170 losses are the most among active pitchers. Tom Glavine is second with 165 and Roger Clemens is third with 163.

  • Maddux's team is 360-238 (.601) in games he pitches and 360-234 (.605) in games he started. The only clubs he hasn't pitched against, during the regular season, are Cleveland and Kansas City (Maddux tossed a 3-2 victory as a Brave in Game 1 of the 1995 World Series against the Indians). He has wins in 26 Major League parks.

  • Barry Bonds has the most at-bats against Maddux with 121, and is hitting .281 against the right-hander lifetime. Tony Gwynn has the most hits with 39 in 91 at-bats for a .429 average. Bonds is second with 34 hits, followed by Mickey Morandini and Craig Biggio with 32 each.

  • Players with the most at-bats against Maddux without a hit? Felix Jose was 0-for-16 lifetime, Mike Morgan and D'Angelo Jimenez both 0-for-14, and Ken Hill and Greg Colbrunn both 0-for-12.

  • The player with the highest batting average with a minium of 10 at-bats is Junior Spivey, who is .538 (7-for-13) off Maddux.

  • Bonds has the most home runs off Maddux with eight and the most walks (22). Ray Lankford has the most RBIs with 18 and also the most strikeouts with 31. And Gwynn has never struck out against Maddux in 91 at-bats.
