Win chance to buy dugout boxes
Entry period for lottery has begun
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

You can't get any closer to the Chicago Cubs than being in the dugout, and the next best thing to that are the newly created Dugout Box Seats at Wrigley Field.

A total of 213 seats were added behind home plate in three rows running dugout to dugout for the 2004 season. Individual tickets are $50 for Value Games, $100 for Regular Games, and $250 for Prime Games and are available on the Internet only.

Ticket prices for the Dugout Box Seats correspond with the same three-tier variable pricing structure currently used for value, regular and prime dates at Wrigley Field. Registrations are non-transferable with no cash redemptions or substitutions.

"We are excited to be able to offer all our fans a chance to purchase these new seats on a single-game basis," said Frank Maloney, director of ticket operations for the Cubs. "These are arguably the best seats in baseball."

Because there are a limited number of tickets available, applicants must fill in a registration form to participate in the opportunity to purchase these select seats.

Fans can enter via cubs.com until 5 p.m. CT on Friday. There is a limit of one entry per email address and you must be 18 years of age or older to enter.

Only entry forms submitted to the Cubs during this time period will be included in the random drawing. Entries generated by a script, macro, or other mechanical or automated means will not be valid. Multiple entries for the same individual will also not be valid.

After registration closes on Friday, the Cubs will conduct a random selection of winners from the pool. Those selected will have the opportunity to purchase up to four Dugout Box Seats at face value, plus convenience and handling fees, for one Cubs regular season home game.

The exact date, times and instructions for ticket purchase will be communicated by e-mail to each applicant selected. If a selected applicant does not follow these instructions, he or she will forfeit the opportunity to purchase tickets.

Games available for purchase will be determined by the Cubs at their discretion. There is no charge to register for this opportunity and there is no obligation to buy a ticket.

A random drawing will be held on Saturday and each applicant selected will be notified on Sunday via the e-mail address submitted on the registration form. The selected applicants' designated purchase times are determined by a random drawing.

In the event a winner does not respond to the notification by purchasing Dugout Box Seats by 11 p.m. CT on April 6, that person will be disqualified. Please be sure to provide an accurate e-mail address on the registration form.

Please note that the Cubs' home game times and dates are determined by the Commissioner's Office and/or the Cubs, and may be subject to change.

All tickets purchased in connection with the drawing shall be subject to those policies applicable to all Cubs ticket holders. As such, the Cubs from time to time in their sole discretion may amend policies.

Address information supplied must match the address to which tickets will be mailed.

Tickets for the Cubs' opening homestand games April 12 and April 14-19 will need to be picked up at the Cubs will-call windows on the day of the game.
