Pitch, Hit & Run

Taking stock of Hosmer's debut

Eric Hosmer, the first national finalist in the Pitch, Hit & Run contest to reach the Major Leagues, made his big league debut on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Kauffmann Stadium as a member of the Kansas City Royals.

At the time of his debut, Hosmer was the fourth youngest player in the Majors and the second youngest in the American League.
