Cubs Announce 2011 Regular Season Television Broadcast Schedule02/10/2011 11:08 AM ET
The Chicago Cubs today announced their regular season television broadcast schedule. For the fourth year in a row, all 162 games will be available in high-definition in the Chicago area.
WGN will televise the Cubs' April 1 season opener vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates from Wrigley Field at 1:20 p.m. and Comcast SportsNet will have its first broadcast the next day, Saturday, April 2 at 12:05 p.m. WCIU will televise its first game on Friday, April 15 when the Cubs play the Rockies in Colorado at 7:40 p.m.
Chicago Cubs games have been televised by WGN since 1948 and by WCIU since 2000. This will be Comcast SportsNet's seventh season televising the Cubs.
Len Kasper and Bob Brenly return for their seventh season in the Cubs' broadcast booth. The duo was recognized following the 2006 and 2008 seasons with a local Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement for Individual Excellence On Camera: Programming, Play-by-Play.
