2011 Membership Benefits


Purchasing a 2011 Cubs Club Membership

In order to purchase a Cubs Club Membership, you must complete the Cubs Club order form on cubs.com and provide complete and accurate information, including name, address, telephone number (e.g., home, work mobile and/or fax), e-mail address, valid credit or debit card information and shipping address. The cubs.com Privacy Policy explains how such information may be collected and used. The e-mail address used at purchase or activation will be your Cubs Club member login. You must use (or, for gifts, provide) a unique e-mail address and password for each membership purchased. The Chicago Cubs and/or MLB.com reserves the right to decline service to or terminate any account for suspicious activity or violation of the terms of this page or the cubs.com Terms of Use. All sales are final unless cancelled in accordance with the refund policy set forth below. For additional questions regarding membership, please contact us.


2011 Renewals

For your convenience, if you purchase the Standard tier, then you have the option to have your Cubs Club Standard tier subscription automatically renew at the previous year's regular full price. Your automatically renewed subscription may come with premiums (e.g. hat, decal) of equal or greater value to the items provided as premiums in the previous year, though the exact type of premium(s) provided may change from year to year. If you purchased a 2011 Cubs Club Standard tier membership with automatic renewal option but would like to cancel the automatic renewal option, you can do so by sending an e-mail requesting cancellation of automatic renewal to cubsclub@website.mlb.com before December 1, 2011. (Renewed subscriptions cannot be cancelled, refunded, or credited -- in part or in whole -- after Spring Training starts.)

AUTOMATICALLY RENEWING YOUR 2010 MEMBERSHIP
All Cubs Club Standard tier members who selected the automatic renewal option when originally purchasing their membership, who have not cancelled or purchased a new membership for 2011, will receive notification of the pending renewal in March 2011, and then automatically have their membership renew approximately two weeks later.

IF YOU PURCHASED A GIFT
Gift memberships cannot be automatically renewed from year to year.


Purchasing a 2011 Cubs Club Gift Membership

We will contact your gift recipient via e-mail to let him/her know that you have purchased a gift Cubs Club membership. Please be aware that the recipient will need to activate the membership using the link in the gift notification e-mail and register for an MLB.com account in order to receive the Cubs Club benefits and Welcome Package so please be sure that the e-mail address was entered correctly. If the intended recipient did not receive the e-mail, please contact us. Consistent with the MLB.com Privacy Policy (updated 2/11/11), children under 13 are not eligible to register for an MLB.com account.


For Gift Recipients

YOU MUST ACTIVATE YOUR GIFT MEMBERSHIP TO RECEIVE THE BENEFITS OF YOUR CUBS CLUB MEMBERSHIP, YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD AND YOUR WELCOME PACKAGE. The e-mail you received when you were notified of your gift included a special link and information on how to activate your membership. You must click on that link and follow activation instructions.

NOTE: In order to receive the benefits of your 2011 Cubs Club gift membership, we recommend you activate your membership as soon as possible. You must activate by September 15, 2011. If you do not activate by such date, your gift membership package will be sent to the address provided by the original gift purchaser at the end of the regular season.

Your 2011 Cubs Club Membership Card and Welcome Package

Your Cubs Club Welcome Package contains your membership card and a welcome letter from the Chicago Cubs.

Bleacher Crew Welcome Packages also contain your Official "Bleacher Crew" t-shirt plus $20 in Cubs Bucks.

Marquee Welcome Packages also contain your Official "Marquee" t-shirt, plus your autographed player photo. Please note that your personalized marquee photograph will arrive during the 2011 season, SEPARATELY from the Welcome Package.

Membership cards and Welcome Packages will begin to be shipped in March 2011. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. Neither the Chicago Cubs nor MLB.com are responsible for lost or stolen shipments. Any 2011 Membership Cards returned by the US Postal Service will be held at MLB.com, 75 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10011 until the conclusion of the 2011 Major League Baseball regular season and may be claimed by the applicable Cubs Club member by providing proof of identification to MLB.com. Cards may be replaced, for a fee, at the discretion of the Chicago Cubs and/or MLB.com. Replacement cards may be requested by sending a request and a check made out to MLB.com in the amount of $3.00 to Cubs Club Replacement Card, c/o MLB.com, 75 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10011. Special ticket opportunities throughout the season (Bleacher Crew and Marquee tier only)

Bleacher Crew and Marquee members will be notified via e-mail during the 2011 regular season about special ticket opportunities to purchase tickets for select series and homestands.


Opportunity to purchase up to eight (8) Bleacher tickets to select 2011 Chicago Cubs regular season home games in a special pre-sale (Bleacher Crew tier only)

Bleacher Crew members will be offered the opportunity to purchase up to eight (8) bleacher tickets total per membership in either the regular Bleacher or Bleacher Box area for all games on the schedule with the exception of April 1, June 17, June 18, June 19, July 1, July 2, July 3, August 19, August 20 and August 21. Details of the pre-sale will be communicated via e-mail and the members-only section on cubs.com on February 22.

MEMBERS MUST JOIN BY FEBRUARY 21 AT 5 P.M. CT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PRESALE OPPORTUNITY. The presale opportunity ends on Thursday, February 24 at 3 p.m. CT.


Opportunity to purchase up to twelve (12) tickets to select 2011 Chicago Cubs regular season home games in a special pre-sale (Marquee tier only)

Marquee members will be offered the opportunity to purchase up to twelve (12) tickets total per membership for any game on the schedule with the exception of April 1, June 17, June 18, June 19, July 1, July 2, July 3, August 19, August 20 and August 21. Marquee members may order from the Upper Deck Box Infield and Outfield, the Terrace Reserved Infield and Outfield, the Upper Deck Reserved Infield and Outfield and the Bleachers and Bleacher Box. Details of the pre-sale will be communicated via e-mail and the members-only section on cubs.com on February 22.

$20 in Cubs Bucks (Bleacher Crew tier only)

Cubs Bucks can be used in place of cash for the purchase of concessions, souvenirs and 2011 Chicago Cubs home game tickets within Wrigley Field. Cubs Bucks will be included with your Membership Pack in a single denomination of $20.

The customer will receive cash back if the purchase is less than the actual Cubs Bucks used. For example, if a hot dog is purchased for $5 and the customer pays with a $20 Cubs Buck, they will get $15 cash back.

Cubs Bucks for 2011 are valid until December 25, 2011.

Cubs Bucks can be used in any concourse souvenir or concession booth and for game tickets. Cubs Bucks cannot be used in the United Club, Sheffield Grill, Captain Morgan Club or PNC Club of Chicago.


Access to special VIP entrance on game days (Bleacher Crew and Marquee tiers only)

For each 2011 regular season home game played at Wrigley Field, but only upon presentation of a valid game ticket and valid Cubs Club "Bleacher Crew" or "Marquee" member card (or printed copy of 2011 membership confirmation e-mail) and a valid photo ID, each such member will be granted access to Wrigley Field through an entrance exclusively for VIPs includeing Cubs Club "Bleacher Crew" and "Marquee" members located on Sheffield just south of the knothole gate. The identification on the gate will be labeled VIP/Sponsor Party Gate.


10% discount at the Captain Morgan Club from the 7th inning on (Bleacher Crew and Marquee tiers only)

By showing your Cubs Club "Bleacher Bum" or "Marquee" member card (or printed copy of 2011 membership confirmation e-mail) and a valid photo ID, you will receive a 10% discount at the Captain Morgan Club on game days from the start of the 7th inning until the club closes. The discount will be applied to all food and drink items purchased at the bar or through table service. Please note that re-entry to the ballpark is prohibited after the 7th inning. Maximum discount of $20 per visit. Discount expires on December 31, 2011, or when the Captain Morgan Club closes for the season.


20% discount at Captain Morgan Club on non-game days (Bleacher Crew and Marquee tiers only)

By showing your Cubs Club "Bleacher Bum" or "Marquee" member card (or printed copy of 2011 membership confirmation e-mail) and a valid photo ID, you will receive a 20% discount at the Captain Morgan Club on non-game days during regular business hours. The discount will be applied to all food and drink items purchased at the bar or through table service. Maximum discount of $20 per visit. Discount expires on December 31, 2011, or when the Captain Morgan Club closes for the season.


Official "Bleacher Crew" or "Marquee" t-shirt (Bleacher Crew and Marquee tiers only)

All Bleacher Crew and Marquee tier members of the Cubs Club will receive an exclusive, limited edition 2011 Cubs Club Bleacher Crew or Marquee tier t-shirt. The t-shirts will be mailed out in the Welcome Package.


10% discount on 2011 MLB.TV Premium Yearly (Bleacher Crew and Marquee tiers only)

Bleacher Crew and Marquee tier members of the Cubs Club can take 10% off a subscription to MLB.TV Premium Yearly when they subscribe by using the username and password associated with their Cubs Club membership. Find more details by logging in to the members-only section.


Exclusive on-field event for Marquee members only (Marquee tier only)

Cubs Club Marquee tier members shall receive the opportunity to attend a non-game day event held at Wrigley Field during 2011. Members will receive notice of the event date approximately 4-6 weeks in advance of the event.

Participants will have the opportunity to run the bases, play catch, shag fly balls in the outfield, and hit in the right-field batting cage. A small ballpark fan fare meal will be included.

Marquee members are allowed to bring one guest.

You will receive an e-mail approximately 4-6 weeks in advance of the event with instructions on how to reserve your spot for this incredible opportunity, including schedule information and event restrictions.


Personalized marquee picture (Marquee tier only)

Marquee members will receive a personalized picture of their name on the marquee. This picture will arrive separately from your Welcome Package.


One year subscription to Vine Line (Marquee tier only)

Marquee members will receive a one year subscription (12 issues) to Vine Line. Issues will begin mailing from 4-6 weeks from purchase or activation of a Cubs Club Marquee membership.


Autographed player photo (Marquee tier only)

Each Marquee member will receive one autographed 8x10" photo of a 2011 Chicago Cubs player or manager. We cannot guarantee which autographed photo will be received. The estimated retail value of each autographed photo will be at least $25.


MLB Insiders Club Trial

Members of Cubs Club may elect to receive a 30-day trial of the MLB Insiders Club. You can continue your membership for only $2/month (billed annually). If you do not wish to continue membership, simply return a dues notice marked "cancel" and owe nothing, and your membership will be automatically cancelled if payment has not been received 49 days after the third notice. Any issues of MLB Insiders Club Magazine and any benefits, gifts or privileges you've already received will be yours to keep. You agree to receive the MLB Insiders Club e-newsletters, and to continue to receive them even if you cancel your membership, though you can unsubscribe from receiving such newsletters at any time. Twenty dollars of each year's dues pays for one year of the MLB Insiders Club Magazine. Offer valid in the U.S. only.

From time to time, MLB Insiders Club may send you new books and videos on baseball for your consideration. You can purchase these at your Members-only price or return them to the Club (the Club pays return postage on any preview offer). If you are at all unhappy with your first issue of MLB Insiders Club Magazine or your Official Member Welcome Kit, just write CANCEL on your dues invoice, return it and pay nothing. You also have the right to a full refund upon request if you grow dissatisfied with the Club during your first year.

Members of Cubs Club will have access to special offers and content on the Members-Only section of the site. You must have a valid Cubs Club username and password to log in. The e-mail address used at purchase or activation will be your Cubs Club member login.


Cubs Club E-newsletter

The Cubs Club E-newsletter allows for members to access content and special offers, made available for Cubs Club members. You must register for the e-newsletter with a valid e-mail address and can opt-out of the e-mail at any time. Neither the Chicago Cubs nor MLB.com are responsible for invalid e-mail addresses or e-mails that bounce or are filtered by e-mail providers. Refund Policy for Cubs Club Membership

In order to provide the highest customer satisfaction possible, MLB.com will refund the paid purchase price of a Cubs Club membership if a refund request is received at cubsclub@website.mlb.com within ten (10) days of your purchase date. Any request for refund or cancellation after that time is subject to the cancellation rules set forth above.
