Cubs Jr. All-Stars

Developing the next generation of leaders starts with a strong foundation in health and fitness. The Cubs work with several organizations to emphasize the values of physical fitness through baseball and softball.

The Cubs and Cubs Charities are committed to improving the health of Chicago's children and growing the next generation of baseball fans. To help address childhood obesity and to promote fitness and baseball, Cubs Charities developed the Cubs Jr. All-Stars Summer Program, encouraging kids to play every day. The mission of the Cubs Jr. All-Stars Summer Program is to get kids active and healthy while having fun playing baseball.

In 2017, more than 1,000 children from four schools across Chicago participated in the Cubs Jr. All-Stars Summer Program. Group exercises led by Cubs associates taught students basic baseball emotional skills through the program. Participating schools included Jahn School of Fine Arts, Gunsaulus Scholastic Academy, Henry D. Lloyd Elementary School and Jacob Beidler Elementary School.

Kids who followed the Cubs Jr. All- Stars Summer Program monitored their daily exercise through weekly fitness logs and were rewarded with a trip to the Park at Wrigley and fitness-related prizes.
