$27 MILLION AND GROWING
Since 1986, Cubs Charities has been giving back to the Chicagoland community. Through funding quality nonprofit programs, direct community programming and a significant grant to Cubs Care, a McCormick Foundation fund that matches 50 percent for each dollar raised, Cubs Charities continues to make a difference in the lives of Chicago's children and families. The Cubs and Cubs Charities are proud to assist the following agencies by providing financial support to sustain the impactful work they are undertaking in the areas of health, fitness and education for underserved youth. Together, we hope to provide opportunities for success for Chicago's children and cultivate the next generation of all-stars.
The McCormick Foundation, through its fund Cubs Care, has granted more than $20 million to Chicago non-profit organizations since 1991.
Contributions to Cubs Care are made through memorials, tributes and direct donations, as well as the proceeds from Chicago Cubs events. Net proceeds are matched 50 cents on the dollar by the McCormick Foundation. The Cubs and the Foundation also pay all administrative costs, so 100 percent of contributions, plus the match, are granted back to agencies helping those in need.
The Cubs are extremely grateful to donors across the country for their contributions and continued support of Cubs charitable events each year.
The McCormick Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to making life better for our children, communities and country. The Foundation's Communities Program partners with newspapers, broadcasters and sports teams nationwide to raise money to support their communities.
